The Story Behind Move On

"Move On" was just a hip hop groove that I created. No biggie. The idea is that women (and men) need to accept if their partner cheats. The solution is to just move on. If there's nothing to hold on to, then there's nothing to hold on to. Don't get mad. You don't own anybody. If your partner has made another choice, then it is their right to do so. Yes, it may hurt, but just move on with your life.
Move On
I took a great amount of comfort
in believing that you'd always be there
never would have thought one day you just wouldn't care
But she came along, she came along and things between us changed
I was no longer number one, number one
But number nothin'
I've got to move on
gotta get myself together
gotta move on
I'm gonna pack my sh... , pack my mind
And move on
gotta get myself together
gotta move on
move on
Why did she have to be so damn fine
I was shocked to see she had long, blond hair
And I was so angry that her skin was fair
When she came along, she came along then things between us changed
I know I can't blame her for my own
Very low, low number placement
I've got to move on
Bridge:
why was I such a fool
using your love wasn't cool
I can only blame myself
Can't look to one else
I've got to move on
