Behind the Song Memory Lane

Daryl gave me this really simple piece of music and asked me to write something that was not a love song. Okay - not a love song... I came up with walking down memory lane. It was really easy to put it together.
Delicately I review my whole life
Memories dance as my childhood plays inside
Gracing me with the blessings of those times
I can feel the love, it’s so warm inside
Memory lane
Visions of my time that has passed by
Reminiscent of all the nice dreams I’ve had
The overtones and colors that I see
I close my eyes and I go freely
Memory lane
Life passes by in such a blinding flash
Treasure each and every moment you have
When you stop and take a look down back
All you’ll see is joy radiating from your past.
Memories are all that remain
When we leave this place where we have come to play
Reflections of our laughter and our pain
A shell of a past that will always stay
Memory lane
Life passes by in such a blinding flash
Treasure each and every moment you have
When you stop and take a look down back
All you’ll see is joy radiating from your past.
