Sending My Love

The Story Behind Sending My Love

Me and my crew taking a walk.

This was written for a friend.  His blessed cousin was dying. She was an older woman, probably 20 years his senior.  She looked out for him when he was a homeless teenager.  She would look for him on the streets and make sure he ate something.  He would not stay with her and her family though.  He insisted on being on the street.  It was his punishment by his parents.  Strange stuff.  I don't understand some people.  Nevertheless, her illness affected him deeply.  She was dying from cancer.  This was for Daryl and his cousin Anna. She was his heroine.

Sending My Love

You’ve always been my hero
The only one's never let me down
I knew that I could count on you to be around
Where would I be without you
You helped me find my way through
the darkness I've been to

Those were the times my life just didn't seem fair
You understood and showed me you cared
You never complained or expressed your needs
Now I heard you're in pain and it's urgent to me

To send you my love expressly today
send you my love
so you'll find a brighter day
So I'm sending my love
Expressly your way
Sending my love
So you’ll find a brighter day
a brighter day

Sometimes life ain't so easy
we need to hold on to
somebody somewhere to carry us through

(Sending my love)
So I'm sending my love to you
Sending my love
so you'll find a brighter day
a brighter day
a brighter day

turn around, look around
I am here, I am with you
turn around, look around
By your side, friends through and through

I'll never forget
all the things you've done for me
I will repay you in kind
So I'm sending (sending)
Yes I'm sending my (sending)
sending my love (sending)

Sending my love
Sending my love
Sending my love

Sending
Sending
Sending
Sending my love
Expressly to you
